Billing
Mediation Server system has been designed to fullfil billing
collection and mediation processes. The system is able to collect
call or quality data, process them and prepare a final data records
that can be delivered to external BSS systems.
The Billing Mediation Server
consists of two major modules:
- CommServer - responsible for
data collection processes,
- MediatorCDR - where the data
mediation processes are executed.
CommServer is advanced
communication server module supporting communication protocols used in
telecommunication systems. Typically the data can be collected via
FTAM, FTP, CMIP, SNMP or other protocol. The module is also used in our
ne2os Gateway platform,
where it delivers interactive communication mechanisms between the
system and network elements.
The core of Billing Mediation
Server runs in the module called MediatorCDR, which is
responsible for data mediation processes, that typically include:
- Files and records
verification,
- Duplicates removal,
- Long call records merging,
- Ported numbers assignment,
- Call data record extension,
- etc.
Data mediation processes can be
flexible repeated for historical data in case of changes in reference
data or rejected,
when not fitting to the processing rules. Billing Mediation Server may
also
be extended with other functional modules, e.g. call legs correllation.
